Logistics Assistant

Support all logistics functions for Riddell across all company locations. Answer any logistics questions that come from sales team, customer service and various other Riddell personnel. Support in routing consumer shipments and helping with vendor relations.


• Monitor inbound shipments from Sales Reps to make sure all policies are being followed

• Distribute reports and analysis to various internal groups

• File claims and open traces when necessary with carriers

• Create inbound deliveries and resend EDI feeds using SAP when necessary

• Routing shipments to customers and following shipping instructions to avoid fines

• Approve and assist in the setup of international shipments

• Coordinate re-routes, special delivery requests, and corrections to shipments already in transit

• Schedule and coordinate return shipments if large enough to go LTL

• Setup inbound shipments to facilities that need to go truckload

• Provide Logistics information such as transit times and shipping costs to Consumer Customer Service

• Trouble shoot and monitor any issues with TMS and SAP

• Follows-up n shipment status using SAP tools and communicates status to appropriate personnel

• Responsible for all delivery status and correcting any abnormalities

• Look up and compute freight or postal rates, record the weight, and get the cost of shipments

• Handle any issues or special requests from Sales team

• Liaison between Customer Service and Warehouse

• Help coordinate immediate shipments

• Responsible for tracing and proof of delivery

• Create inbound deliveries and resent EDI feeds using SAP when necessary

• Any miscellaneous office functions that may need assistance (as directed by supervisor/manager)

• Help in understanding and following new customer routing guides

• Coordinate the weekly laundry program in one of our Riddell locations

• Authorized to work in the U.S.

• Minimum of 2+ years experience in a general office environment required.

• Good math skills

• Strong proficiency with MS Office applications, primarily Word, Excel, and Outlook

• SAP order entry/ order processing experience desirable


• Excellent data entry skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Great time management skills
